| The Bird City Historical Association, Inc. Donation Information The Bird City Historical Association, Inc. does not require a membership fee -- only an interest in helping the Association preserve the history of the area. The Association is a non-profit organization and has a 501 (C)3 status, which allows donations to be deducted from the donors' Income Tax. All projects and historical material are developed by our volunteer members. Therefore the Association is dependent upon donations and contributions for its operation and the development of historical materials and projects. These historical materials will be made available as gifts depending upon the donation. At the present time, two booklets are available -- The History of Banking Institutions in Bird City from 1885 - 2002 and The Complete Story of the Robbery of the Security State Bank in 1931, including Edgar Robertson's 90th Birthday Celebration at the Security State Bank.
