Edgar Robertson

 

Edgar Robertson was born on December 17, 1906 in Bourbon, MO. While attending college at Rolla School of Mines, majoring in mathematics, he was offered the position as Cashier by his cousin E.L. Bacon, President of The Security State Bank in Bird City.

 

Edgar arrived with the opening of The Security State Bank in 1929. At the age of 90, Edgar was still committed to putting in a full day at his office as President and Chairman of the Board of Directors. He enjoyed golf and bowling, and played both into his later years.

 

Edgar married Mabel Wright in June 1934. Mabel passed away December 1980 of a cerebral brain tumor. Edgar passed away on July 5, 2001.
